We are hiring
Kinected Coworking is hiring a dependable Facilities Team Member to help keep our coworking, meeting, and event spaces clean, functional, and ready for members and guests. You will support routine maintenance, scheduled cleaning, facilities requests, and event setup.
We value a positive attitude, teachability, and reliable attendance. If you work well with your hands, take direction well, and follow through on tasks, we encourage you to apply. Training will be provided.
What you will do
- Maintain the facility: Change light bulbs and ceiling tiles, assemble and make minor repairs to furniture, complete touch-ups, and handle small building repairs. Work within your training and ability, and refer issues requiring specialized repair to the Facilities Manager.
- Complete scheduled cleaning: Follow weekly, monthly, and quarterly checklists assigned by the Facilities Manager. Tasks include waste removal, vacuuming, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, cleaning common areas and appliances, restocking supplies, plant care, and periodic deep cleaning. Daily janitorial cleaning, including routine bathroom cleaning, is handled separately.
- Respond to facilities requests: Assist staff and members during scheduled shifts, provide updates on assigned work, and report unresolved issues and supply needs.
- Support meetings and events: Move and arrange tables and chairs, carry supplies, set up spaces, and complete teardown and room resets. Help set up microphones, televisions, and basic event equipment using the training provided.
- Follow through: Record checklist completion, keep tools and supplies organized, use equipment and cleaning products as instructed, and perform other related facilities and event support duties as assigned.
What you will bring
- A positive and teachable approach: Welcome instruction and feedback, learn new tasks, and adapt when priorities change.
- Dependability: Maintain reliable attendance, arrive on time, and follow through on commitments.
- Practical ability: Work comfortably with your hands and basic tools, and complete routine maintenance tasks independently after receiving instructions and training. Ask for guidance when needed.
- Teamwork and member service: Communicate respectfully with coworkers, members, and guests, and support the team when needs arise.
- Attention to detail and initiative: Notice when something needs attention, take appropriate action within your role, and communicate concerns to the Facilities Manager.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous maintenance, handyman, facilities, cleaning, or event setup experience is preferred. Basic hands-on skills and a willingness to learn are welcome. Physical duties include moving tables and chairs, carrying supplies, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

We will work with you to agree on days and hours that meet facility needs; the schedule may remain consistent or vary by advance agreement. Hours may include weekday daytime or after-hours shifts.
Additional hours for special events will be arranged in advance. Availability for weekend event setup and teardown is preferred.
